ABDDCE Piece
|
"Victor Azarov" is a short fiction piece based off of the ABDDCE structure of action, background, development #1, development #2, climax, and then ending. The main character is based off of a real person, but I have changed many of their characteristics and past, as well as their name. This piece does not tell a true story of their life. This piece was also inspired by some of my own experiences.

The girl walked across the icy surface as the crisp breeze blew her hair back. The ground was smooth and flat, like a marble countertop. The barren ground extended into the open as far as she could see, with no objects obstructing her view. She kept walking across the empty surface, the cool breeze nipping at her ears. The clunk of her footsteps interrupted the dead silence in the barren land. Blue air surrounded her as she walked across the faded blue surface. She was the only object in this empty space, creating the only noise with her heavy footsteps. The girl continued on, thinking maybe she would reach the end, but the ground kept extending farther and farther. She stepped on a crack in the smooth ground, and immediately the crack grew into a million other cracks, racing all over the surface. The ground exploded from underneath her into tiny pieces of blue dust. Suddenly she was floating through a cold empty blue space. She tried swimming through the air, but it was like trying to swim through jello. The girl slowly rotated about in the blue dust. The dust formed into a blue phoenix that screeched into the abyss. The phoenix bolted towards the girl and swooped her up with its talons, flying away into a dark black hole. They twisted and flattened, the black hole bending their bodies. They swirled together and spun around in circles, faster and faster, like a tornado. The girl felt no pain, however. The two melted into puddles and flowed out the other end of the black hole into another green universe. This universe had vast forests and grasslands, and the girl was reincarnated into her old self. The sky rained glitter, covering everything, including her, in green sparkles. The trees had their leaves at the bottom and their trunks shot upwards, their roots growing towards the sky, swaying in the air. She ran through the forest, jumping on bouncy mushrooms, soaring from mushroom to mushroom. The girl came to a waterfall of maple syrup. The golden maple syrup dripped slowly down a cliff into a dark hole. She tasted the sweet and sticky maple syrup with her hands. The maple syrup rolled slowly over the edge, and then a sudden strong gust of wind pushed her over the edge into the hole. She fell for a long time, through the dark hole, until she hit the bottom. The ground was made of puffy clouds. The clouds were soft and fluffy, and they engulfed the girl. The clouds were warm and moist. The cloud she was sitting on detached from the rest and floated away into the sky. As she was soaring through the sky on the cloud, a giant translucent face appeared in front of her. The face had big eyes, a nose, and a mouth, but it had no expression. She looked deep into the eyes of this mysterious face, and its irises contained storming oceans. The storm raged on with violent wind and giant waves, all crashing against each other. The water was a deep dark blue, and the skies were dark gray, heavy with rain. Thunder and lightning flashed everywhere. The girl suddenly found herself drowning in the oceans, gasping for air and flailing her arms about. She struggled to stay afloat, but the waves were too powerful and kept pushing her under. The currents swirled her about, and she could not see or smell anything except for copious amounts of water, water everywhere. A current sucked her under, and she sank all the way to the bottom of the ocean. Here, the seaweed wrapped itself around her and tickled her toes. She tried to break free, but the seaweed’s grasp was too tight. It tightened its grip on her the more she struggled, squeezing her tighter and tighter. The seaweed arms extended her outwards toward a giant sea monster. The sea monster looked like a giant catfish with teeth, and she tried to get away, but it was not use. The catfish swallowed the girl, and suddenly she found herself back in the empty blue space walking on the smooth icy surface.
